Lindsay Lohan opened up about Freaky Friday and Mean Girls potential sequels

Halloween might be behind us, but Lindsay Lohan is not quite ready to fully move into the holiday season yet.

Appearing on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her new Netflix movie Falling for Christmas, Lindsay took the chance to speak about Freaky Friday and its potential sequel, which Jamie Lee Curtis hinted at recently.

ICYMI, Jamie Lee Curtis dished about a potential Freaky Friday sequel during an appearance on The View in October. During her interview, the esteemed actor shared her ideal plot details and even proclaimed she had already contacted Disney about it. Now, Lindsay is giving her two cents, and we are pleased to report she’s completely on board.

Lindsay shared that Jamie Lee Curtis had indeed contacted her about Freaky Friday 2 — her words, not ours, so this is the official working title now — while she was working on Falling for Christmas. “I was on set filming at the time, and Jamie Lee Curtis writes you, you just get excited and distracted immediately,” Lindsay recounted.

“I had to bring myself down to Earth and be like, ‘OK, I’m on set. I have to focus.’ And then she said Freaky Friday 2, and I got more excited,” Lindsay continued. She then confirmed both she and Jamie “would both be into” making Freaky Friday 2 a thing. (Yes, friends, Jamie Lee Curtis planted the seed, and now Lindsay is fully watering it.)

However, Freaky Friday 2 might not be the only sequel in Lindsay’s future. When Fallon asked her about a potential sequel to Mean Girls, Lindsay did not completely shut down the host’s idea, instead saying that would be “in Tina [Fey]’s hands.”
