Lisa Snowdon has spoken candidly about relationships she’s had with women in the past.

The 51-year-old star, who is engaged to George Smart, said she is ‘sometimes’ attracted to ‘the same sex’ and went into detail about sleeping with women.

She shared: ‘I was, of course, deeply attracted to the opposite sex, and sometimes to the same sex.’

Lisa went on: ‘I would be lying if I said I hadn’t experimented a little — that was fun and I certainly have no regrets.’

‘A friend told me that a lot of women in the menopause who are attracted to women are acting on it, as they feel they no longer need men. And I kind of understand it,’ Lisa, who was writing in her forthcoming book Just Getting Started, continued.

In an extract seen by the Sun, the former I’m A Celebrity star also noted: ‘Sleeping with women can be a much more sensual, more gentle, more intense and more giving experience.’

Lisa’s book hits shelves later this month and a segment of the book’s description reads: ‘Having struggled for over a decade after starting her menopause in her early forties, Lisa Snowdon has come to realise something she wants all women to understand.

‘This new phase of life is actually a golden opportunity: a chance to become an even stronger, even bolder you.’

Last year, Lisa spoke frankly about the toll early menopause took on her body, saying: ‘I suffered insomnia, hair thinning, extreme night sweats, severe anxiety and angry rages, but I didn’t even know what perimenopause was back then.

‘I was totally unprepared.’

She added: ‘I see menopause as a new phase in our lives and it’s one that we need to take responsibility for.

‘Arm yourself with research, remember movement is medicine, look at your diet and be more mindful about what’s going on in your body.’
