‘Little Mermaid’ fans slam ‘skinny’ Flounder: ‘Look like Steve Buscemi’

Look at this fish, isn’t he neat?

Fans of “The Little Mermaid” are reacting to Flounder’s appearance in the upcoming live-action remake after solo character posters from the Halle Bailey-led film were released Wednesday.

The new version of the originally plump yellow and blue animated fish — who, despite his name, is actually a tropical fish — appears mostly silver with dark blue stripes and only some yellow trickling down his scales.

“Room” star Jacob Tremblay, 16, voices the live-action fish, but it’s the new Flounder’s slimmer physique that has Twitter talking.

Some users said Disney “did Flounder so dirty” and that he got “the Steve Buscemi treatment,” maybe due, in part, to his eyes.

“Not they put Flounder on Ozempic! Why he so skinny??? This fish look like Steve Buscemi,” another reacted, claiming the fish is hopped up on Hollywood’s go-to weight loss drug.

“He’s so skinny because he’s always swimming around!” another theorized.

“He also looks baked as hell,” someone else declared.

Someone else zoomed in on his eyes: “Flounders edible hiiiit.”

Meanwhile, another credited the fish’s skinner look to buccal fat removal — another cosmetic trend in Hollywood where people take fat out of their cheeks to create a more gaunt look.

The Post has contacted reps for Disney and Buscemi for comment.

Disney also released Bailey’s rendition of “Part of Your World” on Wednesday.

It was previously reported that some of the lyrics in “Kiss the Girl” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls” have been updated for the remake to emphasize consent and female empowerment.

It also features new songs co-written by “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.

“The Little Mermaid” hits theaters May 26.
