Liverpool beat Manchester City 1-0 at Anfield to end City’s unbeaten Premier League run and claim a huge three points.
Mohamed Salah exploited Joao Cancelo’s mistake to score the winner after earlier missing a similar opportunity one-on-one with Ederson.
After a quiet first half, in which Erling Haaland, Andrew Robertson and Diogo Jota missed chances, the match sparked into life in the second period.
Salah missed his first chance before Phil Foden had a goal disallowed for a foul by Haaland on Fabinho.
Pep Guardiola was furious and allegedly had coins thrown at him before Jota then missed a golden chance.
Salah then scored before Jurgen Klopp was sent off for being overly aggressive towards the linesman after a decision didn’t go the home side’s way.
City pushed, but other than one more Haaland strike, they failed to trouble the Reds, who clung on to take a massive win.
