Klopp though has aimed a thinly-veiled dig at Arsenal by indicating they’re still someway short of competing with the “top teams”.
Talking ahead of Liverpool’s game against Southampton, Klopp paid credit to those teams fighting below them – including Arsenal in that bracket.
“The Premier League makes steps every year,” he said in his press conference.
“It’s not about the top teams, the improvement of the league can be seen in (the) positions below.
