Liverpool are exploring the possibility of launching a bid for RB Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Premier League giants met with the 22-year-old’s representatives earlier thi this week but, according to The Athetlic, there is recognition at Liverpool that it will be a very difficult transfer to complete.

Szoboszlai has a €70million release clause in his current contract but it is unclear as to when that expires.

Liverpool have made a circumspect start to their summer rebuilding project with only Alexis Mac Allister so far having been recruited.

Jurgen Klopp is keen to shake up his midfield options following the departures of James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
