If you’re looking for a house – and struggling to find the perfect property – it’s time to call in the experts.
For a lucky few, those experts are Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp, the long-standing presenters of Channel 4’s beloved property programme Location Location Location.
Over the past 20 years, Kirstie and Phil have been helping people navigate the increasingly-tricky property market up and down the country – from Scotland to Cornwall.
And now, you could be one of them – as the series is looking for new participants for its 37th season.
So, how can you get on the show?
How to apply to be on Location Location Location
To apply, you’ll need to head to the IWC application page, which is open now.
The main thing you need to know is that the show will only feature chain-free buyers.
If you fit the bill, then provide the usual details (name, email address, contact details).
Next you’ll be answering quite a few mandatory questions to answer on the application form, including:
- What is your budget?
- Do you have a mortgage in principle?
- What is your deposit, and do you have it in place?
- Are you a solo buyer, or buying with a partner or relative?
- How many properties have you viewed in person so far?
There are also some optional questions, such as: ‘Why do you need Kirstie and Phil’s help?’
You’ll also be asked to provide a description of the type of property you’re looking for, i.e. flat or house, number of bedrooms, age or style of property, open-plan kitchen, etc.
Naturally, Location Location Location will also need to know your… top location choice, as well as any other areas you’ve looked at.
Finally, applicants are also asked to send a video of themselves (though it’s fine if you don’t want to).
If your application is successful, someone from the show’s production company will contact you. If you don’t hear back, take that as a sign… and continue your property search elsewhere.
Location Location Location is on Channel 4 on Wednesday nights at 8pm.
