Logan Paul makes feelings clear on future with decision on boxing career

“I think I’m retired from boxing,” the 28-year-old said. “I’ve done enough going fully undefeated at 25-0. I’m going to be a wrestler now.

“No more money in boxing, every company is going broke. Full-time wrestler. Beat Rey Mysterio. Fair and square for the US Championship. It feels great. It was a dominant performance. Some frog splashes, some punches, it feels good.”

Paul first entered the boxing ring when he took on KSI in August 2018 in an amateur bout, which was pivotal to the birth of crossover and celebrity boxing. The pair fought again a year later, this time in a professional capacity, which KSI won via split decision.

The pair then joined forces to start their incredibly successful PRIME drinks business. Paul then entered the world of exhibition boxing when he took on arguably the sport’s greatest Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2021. But the world of WWE is where Paul’s heart seems to be at the moment.

Less than two years after making his debut with the company, the YouTuber controversially beat the legendary Rey Mysterio to win the United States championship at the Premium Live Event called Crown Jewel. Paul took advantage of brass knuckles brought into play by a member of his entourage to illegally strike the 48-year-old.

But as the referee did not see the use of the weapon, Paul was able to score a pinfall and win his first championship belt in the WWE. This win came after defeating Ricochet with the same weapon at SummerSlam in August before he swiftly left the arena to fly to watch his brother Jake defeat Nate Diaz in Dallas.

Mysterio made it clear this past Friday on SmackDown that he wanted a championship rematch with Paul, before he had his knee shattered by LWO group member Santos Escobar in a shocking act of betrayal. Along with Mysterio, there are plenty of superstars who would love to challenge Paul for his championship and he is ready to take them on.

“I have to defend this belt. There are going to be people coming after me,” Paul added. “Seth Rollins, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes. Whoever wants it, they can come get it. Mr. Bad Bunny. Whoever wants it can come get it. I have stuff to do in WWE.”
