Lohri 2023: Come January 13 and people across North India will gear up to celebrate the much-awaited harvest festival of Lohri that also marks the end of winter solstice. On this day, people from Punjab and also from Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Jammu gather around bonfires to bid adieu to winter and welcome longer days with prayers, dance, and traditional Lohri songs.
