Teejerker has officially announced that it will be changing its brand name.
The platform, which will be formally known as “Jerks”, is set to reopen later this month with an expanded product offering. The new name change marks an exciting time for the T-shirt brand, which promises a roster of exciting collaborations with Pleasures and multiple other artists and bands in the upcoming months.
Founded by Matt Sloane in 2019, the London-based imprint has firmly cemented itself as a leading player in the vintage market realm. Renowned for its ability to source rare and exclusive pieces on demand, the retailer has provided its goods to an extensive list of VIP clients, including Travis Barker and Zoe Kravitz, and has launched several successful partnerships over the years.
“For the most part, there are enough ‘things’ in the world. With Jerks, we’re excited to build out an almost entirely ‘used’ brand and put our curation, sourcing and reference points at the forefront of the offering,” explains Sloane in a press release.
“Sustainability has never been so important, yet we see almost no used or vintage brands at anywhere near the level of the top brands producing new garments and items. It’s important for us for Jerks to be a leading force within the used space and to help contribute to the transition of a more sustainable market.”
The Jerks webstore will relaunch on May 21.
