Anthony Davis nearly threw down a ridiculous put-back dunk on Tuesday night.
During the first quarter of a Play-In game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the All-Star center went after a three-point miss from his Los Angeles teammate Jarred Vanderbilt. He controlled the ball with one hand and almost converted a monster tomahawk put-back over Karl-Anthony Towns.
The dunk attempt hit back rim and rattled out, but the miss was highlight-worthy on its own.

If the Lakers take down the Timberwolves this evening, they’ll earn the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference and will face off against the No. 2 seed Grizzlies in Round 1. If they lose, they’ll take on the winner of Pelicans-Thunder for the final spot in the West.
Davis has six points and four rebounds early in the first quarter. If the Lakers want to make a run in this year’s postseason, AD will need to put the team on his back along with superstar teammate LeBron James.
