The Philadelphia 76ers suffered another second-round playoff exit following a 112-88 loss to the Boston Celtics. Ben Simmons was one of many viewers watching the Game 7 blowout.
Near the end of Sunday’s rout, Simmons posted a photo on his Instagram Stories with a TV showing the game. The 26-year-old sent the message without any comment.
Given the messy breakup, onlookers will likely fill in the blanks and wonder if Simmons is throwing shade at his former team.

The No. 1 overall pick made three All-Star appearances in his four seasons played in Philadelphia. However, he sat out the entire 2021-22 season due to back problems.
Philadelphia sent him to the Brooklyn Nets in a deal for James Harden. While the former MVP has delivered erratic returns, he kept the 76ers alive with two tremendous games against the Celtics.
However, Harden went 3-of-11 with nine points and five turnovers Sunday. Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum set a Game 7 record with 51 points.
It’s highly unlikely Simmons would have solve Philadelphia’sGame 7 offensive woes. Having last played on Feb. 15 due to a knee injury, he averaged just 6.9 points in 42 games without a single three-point attempt.
