Bill Simmons is outspoken when it comes to all things NBA, but especially when it comes to his beloved Boston Celtics.
With the Celtics on the brink of elimination in their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Philadelphia 76ers, some fans and pundits have suggested that the team should look to make trades to improve.
One of those pundits is Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd, who suggested that the Celtics should move on from All-Star forward Jaylen Brown. Cowherd floated the idea of the Celtics trading Brown to the Golden State Warriors, and receiving Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole in return.
"Jaylen Brown is perfect for the Warriors."

Simmons wasn’t a fan of Cowherd’s trade proposal, to say the least.
This is the worst fake trade I think I’ve ever heard. Maybe the Celtics could throw in a couple unprotected firsts to make it even dumber? Come on Cowherd! https://t.co/x0J8X2Mk9Y

“This is the worst fake trade I think I’ve ever heard,” Simmons said on Wednesday. “Maybe the Celtics could throw in a couple unprotected firsts to make it even dumber? Come on Cowherd!”
The Celtics appear to be committed to Brown for the long haul, especially when you consider that he was rumored to be involved in trade talks for Kevin Durant at one point.
If Boston wasn’t willing to part ways with him for one of the greatest players of all time, it stands to reason that they wouldn’t do it for two players who aren’t even as good as the one they would be getting rid of.
