Charles Barkley was a Hall of Fame player on the basketball court long before he became a legendary analyst in the sport.
He’s viewed as one of the best players and analysts in the game, but he showed on Thursday night there’s one thing he can’t do: a Boston accent.
During Game 5 between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat, Barkley was given a line to read in a Boston accent. To say he didn’t pull it off would be giving him too much credit.
“Saw Ernie at Fenway Park eating chowder on top of the Monster,” Barkley read in some type of accent that wasn’t remotely related to Boston.

There are plenty of things Barkley is good at, golf – and now the Boston accent – are not among them.
Better luck next time, Chuck.
