Before Game 5 between the Grizzlies and Lakers, Charles Barkley called out Dillon Brooks while on “Inside the NBA.”
After the Grizzlies defeated the Lakers in Game 2, Brooks made some questionable comments about LeBron James.
“I don’t care. He’s old,” Brooks said. “He wanted to say something after I got my fourth foul, he should have been saying that earlier on. I poke bears. I don’t respect anyone until they come and give me 40.”
Since then, Brooks has gone 7-for-24 from the field and the Grizzlies are 0-2.
That being said, it’s only fair that Barkley critiqued Brooks’ performance in the first round of the playoffs.
“You calling people old and the old man just kicking your ass,” Barkley said. “Let’s be honest about it.”

Sometimes, it’s better to work in silence. Clearly, Brooks hasn’t received the memo.
The Grizzlies will try to keep their season alive tonight in Game 5.
