Before he became a star analyst, Charles Barkley used to dominate on the basketball court.
The No. 5 overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers, Barkley spent eight seasons with the organization. Unfortunately not all of those were good years for the team.
In a recent interview, Barkley revealed that he was fed up with being the subject of trade rumors for two years. He eventually thought he was going to be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to Barkley, his agent called saying the Lakers would be trading for him. Without thinking twice, he went out to celebrate with his friends even though the 76ers had a game that night.
“It was the only drunk game I ever played..”

Barkley thought his days playing for the 76ers were over…but they weren’t. Philadelphia allegedly reneged on the deal and called off the trade with the Lakers.
Barkley and his friends had a few drinks to celebrate the trade, which left him in an awkward spot when the trade didn’t go through.
He suggests that is the only game he played during his career while drunk.
