Draymond Green isn’t happy with Damantas Sabonis after Game 7 ended on Sunday evening.
After the Warriors won the series and advanced to the second round, they were shaking hands with most of the players and coaches on the Sacramento Kings, except Sabonis. Green noticed that and wasn’t happy about it.
“Lost a lot of respect for Sabonis,” Green said. “You don’t shake guy’s hands after you lose? I don’t respect that. I once left the court after we lost Game 7 to the Cleveland Cavaliers and I went to the locker room and sat down and I said this doesn’t feel right. I then walked back onto the court and showed everybody love. You lost, deal with it. Pay your respect.”

It’s no secret that Green and Sabonis were at each other’s throats during this series. It all started during the early portion of the series when Green stepped on Sabonis while the latter was on the ground.
Green got ejected from the game and was suspended for one game due to the stomp.
They then had plenty more battles in the ensuing games but they didn’t get to that point.
In the end, the Warriors will move on to play the Lakers while the Kings will be moving to an offseason where they can improve after they just had a great 2022 campaign.
