You may not know it from watching his game, but Charles Barkley is an avid golfer. In recent years, several videos have shown Barkley attempting to hit the golf ball with varying results.
The golf world likely knows Barkley for the hitched, stalled backswing he’s had over the years.
Today, that backswing appears to be mostly fixed, and Barkley has the best swing he’s had in a very long time.

Barkley isn’t planning on leaving his desk at TNT any time soon, but the improvements to his swing have some wondering if a golf career is waiting for him after he hangs up the headset as an analyst.
“Swing is looking great, how did he do it,” one commented asked on TikTok.
“Funny that he was a good golfer and somehow got the yips,” another commenter said. Swing looks much better.”
Barkley is in Birmingham for the Regions Pro-Am event, along with other celebrities like Georgia football coach Kirby Smart and Barkley’s fellow Auburn Tiger Bo Jackson.
The work didn’t pay off overnight for Barkley, however. He began to work with his current swing coach in 2018, and Stan Utley appears to have done the impossible by fixing Barkley’s hangups and issues with his swing.
