Steph Curry came up during a segment on Monday’s edition of Get Up.
Mike Tannenbaum, who is a former NFL general manager, brought up Curry because he sees a lot of him in quarterback prospect Bryce Young. Young is expected to be a top-three quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft.
“I think he has Steph Curry in him, which is, I think he has really good short area movement. I think he has great flexibility. I think he’s gonna be a great passer, not a good passer, and over the next three-to-five years guys, if we were sitting here, I think Bryce Young is gonna be a better quarterback than Justin Fields,” Tannenbaum said.
The NFL community isn’t a fan of this comparison.
“They keep comparing him to someone who plays an entirely different sport. That’s wild,” another tweet read.
“Young has gotten a Mahomes comp and Steph Curry mention and it’s only mid February,” Geoff Schwartz tweeted.
Young has a lot to live up to if he wants to have a career like Curry’s.
