Former NBA guard Dante Exum suffered a serious foot injury during a EuroLeague fight.
A massive brawl unfolded near the end of Thursday’s game between Real Madrid and Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade. During the melee, former Boston Celtics first-round pick Guerschon Yabusele picked up and slammed Exum onto the court.
According to Telegraf, via BasketNews, Partizan doctor Moma Jakovljevic said Exum ruptured the tendon in his second toe. He also hurt his upper lip. Exum will undergo further evaluation when returning to Belgrade.
Dante Exum was seen leaving the WiZink Center in crutches after getting injured in the massive fight between the teams.

Jakovljevic admonished Yabusele’s suplex-like takedown to Mozzart Sports.
“The way Yabusele threw him with a judo move, that’s for prison, for life suspension,” he said. “As Yabusele threw him, Exum could have broken his spine, seriously injured his head, and ended his career. This was terrible. I have never seen this in my life.”
Drafted No. 5 overall in 2014, Exum averaged 5.7 points per game in six NBA seasons with the Utah Jazz and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Australian native played one season in Barcelona before joining Partizan in 2022.
The remainder of the Game 2 quarterfinals matchup was suspended. Yabusele and others could face punishment for the brawl.
