After wrapping up a successful 15-year NBA career by cementing himself as one of the league’s best shooters, J.J. Redick entered the sports media world.
And instantly became a star.
One reason? His ability to make compelling arguments against stars like ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, which happened on ESPN First Take Wednesday morning.
After Smith suggested the Los Angeles Clippers move on from All-Star Kawhi Leonard after another injury-riddled season, Redick said the following.
“It’s very obvious that you have played zero high-level basketball,” he said. “And you do not understand the requirements of doing that, and I mean that in a nice way.”

Leonard missed the rest of the first-round series against the Phoenix Suns after playing well in the first two games.
After the Clippers were eliminated from the playoffs on Tuesday, it was reported Leonard suffered a torn meniscus.
