Jaylen Brown has done pretty well for himself in the NBA.
At 26, Brown is already a multi-time All-Star, considered one the best two-way players in basketball. He made his first All-NBA team this season, a testament to the yearly improvement he’s demonstrated over his career.
Brown has been great on the court, but his skills as a prognosticator leave a bit to be desired.
In an interview with Taylor Rooks, Brown predicted that he would win five championships by the time he turned 28.

At the time, it sounded great – what player wouldn’t want to have that level of confidence in their abilities?
Brown is now 26 and has yet to win his first NBA title, let alone the three he thought he would have by now.
Brown and the Celtics are currently down 0-2 against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, which puts their chances of winning the title this year in real jeopardy.
Boston had their best chance in recent memory when they made the NBA Finals in 2022, but would go on to lose to the Golden State Warriors in six games.
A win in this year’s Eastern Conference Finals would set up a date with either the Los Angeles Lakers or Denver Nuggets in the Finals, two teams that would present quite the challenge for Brown and the Celtics.
