Kawhi Leonard is a man of few words — and he recently furthered that reputation.
When the Los Angeles Clippers star was informed of Kevin Durant’s blockbuster trade to the Phoenix Suns, he responded with a simple, one-word reaction:
“Oh,” he said, per NBA insider Ohm Youngmisuk.
Kawhi later added to his reaction, saying he’s focused only on what’s going on within the Clippers’ organization.
“I was just told that before I walked in. I’m just focused on what we got to do,” he said during his postgame press conference on Wednesday night.
This blockbuster KD trade directly affects Kawhi and the Clippers. The Claw’s team now has an absolutely juggernaut in Phoenix they need to go through if they want to compete for an NBA title.
The Clippers are currently sixth place in the Western Conference, just one spot behind the recently-bolstered Suns. Phoenix is now the overwhelming favorite to come out of the West.
