Tonight’s NBA Draft Lottery is one of the most anticipated of all time. Fans will finally know where projected No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama will begin his NBA career.
Considered one of the greatest prospects of all time, there’s an immense level of hype surrounding Wembanyama’s NBA arrival.
So much hype, in fact, that ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski made a very bold claim on today’s edition of NBA Today.
"This is the most highly-anticipated player to ever enter the NBA. … Maybe the greatest prospect in the history of team sports."

Wojnarowski referred to Wembanyama as “the most highly-anticipated player to ever enter the NBA” and “maybe the greatest prospect in the history of team sports.”
High praise for a player who has yet to step on an NBA floor.
Some fans, namely those of LeBron James – himself a highly-touted can’t-miss generational prospect – took issue with Wojnarowski’s comment on Wembanyama.

While Wembanyama’s arrival is definitely anticipated, it seems that Wojnarowski’s comments had a bit of recency bias, according to some fans.
