LeBron James and the Lakers have faced a ton of criticism this season. After Friday night’s win, the four-time MVP fired back at all the doubters.
“To A Non Believer,” James wrote on Instagram. “YEAAAAAHHHH WOE!! We hear all the chatter going on behind our backs but then they wanna smile in our faces when they see us!! Man BEAT IT!! Keep cooking they asses!”
James hasn’t played since Feb. 26 due to a foot injury. That being said, the Lakers have won three games in a row and are now at .500 for the first time this season.
With only eight games remaining in the regular season, the Lakers are currently sitting in eighth place in the Western Conference.
It was reported this week that James could return to the hardwood for the final few games of the regular season. However, he quickly shot down that report.
“There wasn’t an evaluation today and there hasn’t been any target date for my return,” James tweeted. “I’m just working around the clock, every day (3X a day) to give myself to best chance of coming back full strength whenever that is. God bless y’all sources. I speak for myself!”
If the Lakers make the playoffs and get James back in their starting lineup, they could make some noise this April.
