LeBron James is a massive football fan. The Lakers forward can be seen watching games when he’s not playing, and is often in attendance at some of the biggest games of the season, including at each of the last two Super Bowls.
LeBron recently crossed paths with the MVP of last month’s Super Bowl in Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes was in attendance at the Lakers-Mavericks game in Dallas on Sunday to see LeBron take on Luka Doncic and the Mavericks.
LeBron took a moment to joke with Mahomes about a shared injury the two players have recently faced.
“You not the only one playing with a f—ed up ankle, huh?,” said LeBron to Mahomes. James entered Sunday’s game with an ankle injury – and would eventually leave Dallas that evening with a foot injury that will apparently sideline him for multiple weeks.
Mahomes, on the other hand, suffered an ankle injury in the AFC Divisional round against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The injury was aggravated in the Super Bowl against the Eagles, but Mahomes was able to play through it and lead the Chiefs to a win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
LeBron is hoping to do the same when he returns from his foot injury, and lead the Lakers into the NBA playoffs.
