LeBron James has been in the spotlight many times for sharing his opinion, but his latest tweet is causing a stir among basketball fans.
With the Lakers having an off day between two home games, LeBron decided to unwind by taking in some of the action around the league.
He seemed to be unimpressed with the quality of play in the NBA, remarking that his son Bronny – currently a high school senior – was a better player than some of LeBron’s current NBA contemporaries.
The four crying/laughing emojis indicate that LeBron’s statement was made in jest, but there could be some truth to his observation. Bronny James is considered as one of the best players in his class, and was named a McDonalds All-American, just like his father.
Bronny has been projected as a top-10 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft according to some experts, and he’ll have the chance to play against elite talent at the college level next season.
With time – and with perhaps the greatest of all time helping him at every step of the way – Bronny may eventually live up to his dad’s estimation in that tweet.
For now, LeBron may want to focus on what’s ahead of him as he recovers from a foot injury.
