Michael Jordan is one of the many prominent basketball figures to congratulate LeBron James on his all-time scoring record feat.
MJ spoke out on the matter after LeBron broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s long-standing record during a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night.
“Congratulations to LeBron on this incredible achievement. It’s a testament to his hard work, longevity, and his great skill,” he said, per TMZ Sports.
LeBron now holds the No. 1 spot on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with 38,390 points through 1,410 games played. Jordan still holds his spot at No. 5 with 32,292 points through 1,072 games played.
This milestone for LeBron has re-sparked the age-old greatest-of-all-time debate of “MJ vs. The King.” While fans will argue back and fourth about this topic, it’s clear these two all-time greats have some serious mutual respect.
