The Dallas Mavericks got great news on Luke Doncic on Thursday.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Doncic’s MRI on his thigh came back clean and he’s expected to return to the lineup soon.
Doncic got hurt during the Mavericks-Pelicans game and had to leave the game. He finished with 15 points, eight assists, and three rebounds in 28 minutes.
Doncic has been the Mavericks’ best player this season and it’s not close. He’s currently averaging 33 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists per game as the Mavericks are 34-33 overall.
That record is good for eighth in the Western Conference as they continue to fight for a playoff spot.
We’ll have to see if he’s in the lineup for their next game, which is scheduled for this Saturday (Mar. 11) against the Memphis Grizzlies. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET.
