Golden State Warriors forward JaMychal Green appeared to question the validity of LeBron James’ comments about flopping.
Following Game 5’s win, James told reporters the Los Angeles Lakers “don’t work on flopping” in response to Steve Kerr’s criticism. The NBA superstar claimed his teams have “never been” about selling contact for calls.
Green posted a photo of LeBron’s quote on his Instagram Stories, superimposing a blue cap over James’ head. “Cap” is often used to suggest someone is lying.

Earlier this week, Kerr facetiously gave the Lakers credit for successfully flopping in their second-round series. The Lakers attempted 52 more free throws than the Warriors through four games before each time had 15 tries Wednesday night.
A Lakers player told TNT’s Chris Haynes the complaint “shows weakness and frustration.” But it was likely gamesmanship on Kerr’s part to put the referees on notice.
Flopping has become a normal part of the NBA, so it won’t be difficult finding any instances of James or his teammates (past or present) embellishing on occasion. Officials may keep a closer eye for flopping when the Lakers try to eliminate the Warriors in Game 6 on Friday night.
