Could we witness Becky Hammon make NBA history this offseason? The latest report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski hints at that being a possibility.
According to Wojnarowski, the Raptors have secured permission from the Las Vegas Aces to speak with Hammon.
Hammon just led the Aces to the WNBA championship in 2022. She was also named the league’s Coach of the Year.
As you’d expect, the NBA world had a lot to say about the possibility of Hammon taking her talents to Toronto.

Hammon was an assistant coach for the Spurs from 2014-2022. We’d imagine she learned a lot under Gregg Popovich’s leadership.
Of course, Hammon isn’t the only candidate being mentioned for the Raptors’ head coaching vacancy.
The Raptors have reportedly expressed interest in Kenny Atkinson, Charles Lee, Kevin Young, Mitch Johnson, Jordi Fernandez, Darko Rajakovic and Chris Quinn.
