Sunday hasn’t been a good day for Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving.

Not only did Dallas lose 110-104 to the lowly Charlotte Hornets to slip to 11th place in the Western Conference, but Irving became so irked by a Charlotte fan during the game that he had the person ejected from the arena.

It happened early in the third quarter.

“It is kinda wild that an NBA player can have a fan ejected at anytime,” said CapWize Founder Ben Cary. “Of course if the fan said something bad to Kyrie, that’s one thing. But when did this start becoming a thing?”

Irving finished with 18 points in 36 minutes in today’s loss.

The Mavericks will need to finish strong in their final seven games to avoid an embarrassing collapse. Dallas is just 5-13 in its last 18 games and currently would not qualify for the Play-In Tournament if the season ended today.
