Stephen A. Smith was unhinged after the Knicks’ loss to the Heat in Game 6 of their second-round series.
When discussing the Knicks’ season-ending loss, Smith called out RJ Barrett for his lackluster performance. The Duke product had 11 points while making just 1-of-10 field goal attempts.
Believe it or not, Smith called Barrett “pathetic” during ESPN’s postgame show.
“RJ Barrett, it’s going to be a long offseason,” Smith said. “You’re absolutely pathetic. You gotta really look yourself in the mirror and work on your game young man.”

Barrett has not responded to Smith’s comments.
We’re not sure if it’ll make Barrett feel any better, but Smith also called out Julius Randle.
“Julius Randle, I am done with this man,” Smith added. “I’m calling for the New York Knicks to trade him. You’re not going to win with him.”
It’s possible Smith made these harsh comments just to generate clicks, but words certainly hurt, and calling Barrett “pathetic” seems a bit extreme.
