The Western Conference Finals is off to an unfortunate start.

The start of tonight’s Game 1 in Denver was delayed as Ball Arena had issues with the above-basket shot clocks.

Arena staff brought in backup clocks to be placed on the floor in the corners.

Take a look at the makeshift solution here:

Tipoff was originally scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET, but the game didn’t begin until after 8:45.

Despite this tough start for the Nuggets’ arena staff, the team got off to a red-hot start on the court. Nikola Jokic played a brilliant first quarter, notching eight points, 12 rebounds and four assists as the home team took an early double-digit lead.

The Nuggets lead the Lakers 37-25 at the end of the first quarter.
