Victor Wembanyama’s NBA fate was revealed during Tuesday night’s NBA Draft lottery.
As one of the most highly-anticipated draft prospects of all time, the 7-foot-5 Frenchman is an absolute lock to go No. 1 overall in this year’s draft.
ESPN’s broadcast of tonight’s draft lottery had cameras all over Wembanyama and his family/friends as they watched the event in Paris. The superstar prospect seemed pretty thrilled when the San Antonio Spurs found themselves at the top of the lottery list.

With a Hall-of-Fame coach like Gregg Popovich at the helm and a rich history of foreign greats (including Frenchmen Tony Parker and Boris Diaw), Wembanyama should be a great fit in San Antonio.
The Spurs landed the No. 1 overall pick over the Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons.
