Louise was made a permanent host in 2012 and was previously one of the BBC’s relief presenters. After presenting BBC Breakfast with Dan Walker for three days a week, she announced her departure in June 2021, later appearing on this year’s edition of I’m A Celebrity. However, could she take on a new role on ITV’s rival news show, Good Morning Britain?
Kate Garraway spoke to Louise about her exit on Friday’s GMB, as well as her recent stint in Gwrych Castle.
The ITV broadcaster suggested her appearance on the show could be a hint towards her next career plans.
“You know what people are going to say,” she said as Louise laughed.
“You’re here on Good Morning Britain. You were adored on BBC Breakfast. Everyone loved you there.”

Louise then revealed she didn’t want to return to the tough working conditions that come with a long-running stint on a morning news show.
“I’ve done those hours,” she continued. “I got up at 3:45 in the morning for the last 20 years.”
However, Adil and Kate still weren’t convinced, joking their colleagues Charlotte Hawkins and Susanna Reid could be out of a job soon.
“No! No! Keep your coats,” Louise assured them one more time.
