Louise Minchin has said that she may still not be completely on board with her decision to quit BBC Breakfast after 20 years presenting on the show.
The 53-year-old announced in June that she would be stepping down, two decades after her debut on the news programme in 2001.
The mum-of-two has since appeared in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! but she is still uncertain what the future holds since making her life changing decision.
Speaking on Her Spirit podcast, Louise admitted she was unsure whether she made the “right decision” and that it took her a “long time” to quit the red sofa for good.

Louise explained: “It wasn’t just months, it was probably even longer than that.
“In the end, my husband always said, ‘There will be a moment.’ And the moment was very specific because it had been going around my head so much.”
The TV presenter said that she went back to the basics of a pros and cons list to help her make the final decision.
Louise said that she felt that everything was “out of balance” with her life and despite loving working on BBC Breakfast, she felt that there was a new world for her away from the show.
The broadcaster said: “In life, I’ve tried to be brave. I don’t even know if it was the right decision – I think it was but sometimes you have to jump off the ferry and that was the time.”

Louise recently returned to the red sofa to speak to hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt, where she admitted that she was “excited” about the future but it was also “scary”.
She explained: “On the day I left I’m A Celeb [BBC Breakfast] asked me back on the show.
“It was lovely because of course I really do miss my colleagues and I do miss my job.
“It was actually lovely to go back and be a guest. It was great to be able to say, ‘hello’ to my friends.”
Louise added: “Hopefully, I can go back again but I don’t have that job. But to occasionally pop in – it was really special to do that.”
