Love Is Blind couple to set ‘replace’ Nick and Vanessa Lachey

When Netflix viewers were finally able to stream Love Is Blind’s highly anticipated season four reunion, many were left unsatisfied by the line of questioning.

Hosts, Nick and Vanessa Lachey found themselves in the firing line as fans took to social media with fury.

Many complained about the presenting skills, while Vanessa was criticised for asking the contestants who planned on having babies first and when they were having them.

After viewers aired their discontent, a petition with over 42,000 signatures was created to replace Nick and Vanessa with season one couple, Cameron Speed and Lauren Hamilton.

As its creator claimed: “Vanessa Lachey is domineering of every reunion and attempts to gain as much camera time as possible by cutting into every conversation, speaking over her husband and contestants, and very badly acting like she cares about members of the cast.”

With the petition nearing its 50,000 signatures goal, a replacement could be in the works.

A source revealed: “There’s always been whispers about replacing them, especially now after the live reunion special which was a complete disaster on so many levels.

Speaking on Lauren and Cameron stepping up as hosts, the source added: “Viewers feel a connection with Lauren and Cameron because they are the real deal.

“People want to relate to the hosts – and at this point, they can’t relate to Vanessa or Nick,” the insider told MailOnline.

After finding love in season one, Cameron and Lauren have remained fan-favourites since their first appearance in 2020.

In Lauren’s recent Instagram post, she and Cameron reenacted their time in the pods and fans flooded their comments with calls for them to become the next hosts of Love Is Blind.

As @iyennuh wrote: “When are they going to make you and Cam the host of LIB.”

@simplyfrani_ pleaded: “Can you both please be the new hosts for Love Is Blind?”

A third fan @samanthagorlarte added: “Best couple to come out of the pods! Y’’all need to host a season.” (sic)

While @positiviteee demanded: “Y’ALL NEED TO BE THE NEW HOSTS.”

As well as calls to be replaced, Vanessa recently offered Paul Peden a peace offering after he admitted the reunion felt like an “interrogation” at times.

The season four contestant shared a photo of a bouquet of flowers with a note on his Instagram stories, tagging Vanessa.

It was captioned: “Thanks for acknowledging the accidental misleading.”
