Love Island makes history as bombshell Kady McDermott forced into decision

Kady McDermott starred in the second series of Love Island where she came in third place with Scott Thomas, but tonight will experience her biggest decision yet and it will go down in history.

After the recoupling, the next day the girls receive a text that they will be whisked off for a boy-free spa day.

Whitney Adebayo reads: “Girls, it’s time to unwind and indulge as you are going on a spa day. Please get ready to leave the Villa. #CoolAsACucumber #ItsGivingChillVibes”

As they arrive at their spa day, talk soon turns to the boys where each girl updates their situation with the boy they are coupled up with.

However, back at the villa, Kady McDermott makes her dramatic return and unexpectedly interrupts the boys, announcing: “Alright boys, who’s ready for a pocket rocket?”

Getting straight down to business, Kady gathers the boys around the fire pit to ask who is completely closed off, telling the boys to be honest.

After receiving a tour from Sammy Taylor and Mehdi Edno, she shouts from the terrace down to the other boys: “Looking for my Romeo!”

Later Tyrique Hyde suggests taking a selfie with Kady and the boys to send to the girls while they’re still at the spa.

The unexpected selfie from Tyrique sends the girl’s relaxing spa day into a spin, but will they be rushing back to the villa to greet the new girl?

Throughout the day Kady explores her options, pulling the boys for chats and getting to know all of her fellow Islanders.

That night, a text calls all Islanders to gather around the fire pit immediately with Kady receiving another text asking her to make a shocking decision.

Will she be asked to make a hasty decision as to who she wants to pair up with? Or will she be forced to dump one of the girls from the island?

Touching on why she was returning to the villa for a second chance to find love, she explained: “Not many people can say they’ve been on Love Island, let alone have done it twice!

“I think I’m known from season two for being so chaotic. People always ask, ‘Do you have regrets?’ expecting me to say yes, but I was so true to myself and I was 100 percent authentic.

“I’ll still be like that now, but seven years on, I am more mature. I’m still the fiery pocket rocket but I know what I want and what I don’t want.

“Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to be me and the fire I have is in my soul, I’ll never get rid of that and I love that about me, but I’m a lot more emotionally mature now, so I know how to navigate things better.

“I’ve grown up a lot. Last time I got with Scott [Thomas] straight away and I was so ‘tunnel vision’. It’ll be interesting to see what connections I’ll form this time.”

Love Island airs weeknights and Sunday from 9pm on ITV2.
