Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu was overcome with emotion on Tuesday night’s episode after she noticed her partner Davide Sanclimenti didn’t make her coffee in the morning.
The actress, who is currently paired up with the Italian stallion, had become accustomed to the gesture with her other half going the extra mile by serving up a hot mug over the past two days.
The bar is high, ladies.
But today Ekin-Su realised that Davide didn’t make her a coffee, despite all the other boys treating their girls to them.
After sharing her theory that Davide was only doing it because he was in competition with Luca Bish ahead of the recoupling, she deduced that the situation was ‘too good to be true.’
‘Every girl here has their morning coffee by the guy they are coupled up with and it would be silly for Davide not to bring my coffee that I always adore, especially the one that he makes,’ she said.
‘And he hasn’t this morning.
‘I don’t know whether I’m exaggerating it or whether it is a big deal because right now it feels like a huge deal to me.’
She then burst into tears as she dissected the scenario in the Beach Hut.
‘I’m fine,’ she said before breaking down. ‘I never cry,’ Ekin-Su added.
Viewers were taken by surprise by Ekin-Su’s emotional moment and rushed to Twitter to comment.
‘Oh Ekin! I totally agree, little things show how much you care. Don’t cry, dump him,’ wrote one.
‘Was not expecting these types of emotions from Ekin-Su about a coffee…but at the same time Davide, what you playing at?’ added another.
As the episode progressed, Davide admitted that he wasn’t sure where his head is at in terms of his blossoming romance.
‘Something is stopping me and I don’t know why,’ he said as he confided in Andrew Le Page. ‘What would you do in my position?’
‘It’s hard mate, because in the outside world you would wait [before seeing her again],’ Andrew said.
Davide concluded: ‘Maybe [I should] think less and just go.’
Sounds like good advice, Davide. Just go with it!
Love Island continues on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV2.
