Love Island’s Kodie Murphy has been branded a liar after he told his girlfriend he was “going on a work trip” ahead of his appearance on the ITV2 dating show.
But according to a now-deleted tweet, his ex-girlfriend has hit out, claiming they were “exclusive” and explaining how he told her he was going on a “work trip”.
Sharing a picture of the both of them at a concert, she said: “As some of you may know @KodieMurphy and I have been exclusive for some time and now I’ve come to find out this ‘work trip’ he was going on was actually Casa Amor.
“Couldn’t feel more hurt and disrespected, Kodie you had plenty of time to tell me, however, I hope you find what you’re looking for. I wish you luck.”
Kodie, 20, was one of six boys who entered Casa Amor on Friday night.
The social media marketer who hails from Birmingham is also the show’s youngest contestant.
But despite his age, Kodie describes himself as “flirty, cheeky and mischievous”.
When Kodie was asked about which girl he had his eye on before entering the villa he claimed Jess Harding was his favourite.
But he went on to say he also liked the look of Leah Taylor.
He said: “Jess is my weak point as I do love a blonde.”
He also spoke about how he was feeling about entering the villa and said: “There isn’t as much pressure when you go into Casa Amor, you can go in and have some fun. I’ll definitely be a little mischievous.”
He added: “I’m going to go in there and be my big, bubbly, cheeky self – I definitely know what I want.
“You have to lay it on a bit thicker in Casa Amor than the outside, which will be different for me but I am confident in approaching things.
“I work well under pressure, so no worries there.”
