New York Yankees legend Reggie Jackson may have put up Hall of Fame stats at the plate but was the strikeout king when it came to being faithful.
Mr. October opened up to Howard Stern on the latter’s SiriusXM show as a new Amazon Prime Video documentary on his illustrious career debuts Friday.

But as the toast of the town in the Big Apple in the 1970s and ’80s, women were the stick that stirred the drink for Jackson.

“It wasn’t hard for me to open my heart, but it was hard for me to be loyal,” Jackson told Stern. “As a man, I cheated a lot.”
To his credit, the baseball legend takes full responsibility.
“I won’t blame it on any excuse,” he said. “I just cheated. I saw a pretty girl and I tried to sleep with her.”
Stern tried to give the slugger the old famous athlete loophole, but Jackson, who became a star with the Oakland A’s, didn’t take it.
“I won’t blame it on that either. I won’t blame it on that. I had access and I took advantage of it, and I missed a couple of wonderful ladies in my life, and it was my fault,” Jackson said.
But what Jackson is most proud of and what makes him happiest is his daughter, Kimberly.
“I have a wonderful daughter,” he told Stern. “I wasn’t married when I had her, but what an unbelievable experience, and she’s given me two grandchildren — two boys, and one of the kids, the poor son of a gun, he looks just like me.”
Today, Jackson revealed he is in a romantic relationship with a female friend of 30 years.
“She’s a tremendous friend, I love the life and spending time with her,” he said, adding he will “probably” marry her.
Jackson was married once before to Jennie Campos. They divorced in 1973 before he arrived in the Bronx.
During his interview with Stern, Jackson also revealed that former MLB commissioner Bud Selig torpedoed his bid to buy the perpetually struggling A’s.
