Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has been left in the dark after Italian giants Inter Milan pulled out of the race to sign him.
The 30-year-old spent last season on loan with Inter helping them reach the Uefa Champions League final where they lost to Manchester City.
Lukaku had been strongly linked with a permanent move to Inter but it looks as if his move to San Siro will not happen. It seems though that the striker might move to Italy but not to his desired club.
Juventus are now leading the race to sign Lukaku.

Two years ago, the striker said a move to Juve or Milan was not for him, and preferred Inter.
Lukaku might join Juventus this summer
“Again, never. It’s never gonna happen,” Lukaku said then according to Talksport.com.
“Juventus wanted me before Inter, but when Conte joined Inter it was my priority to join them. In Italy, there’s only Inter for me,” he said.
Inter might have opted not to sign the striker after the Uefa final where he missed a few chances to get his side back into the game.

After the match, Lukaku was heavily criticised online after a poor performance with some fans calling him ‘finished’.
The striker, who is on loan from Chelsea, replaced Edin Dzeko and at times looked like a threat for City’s defence.
With Inter looking for the equaliser, Federico Dimarco hit the bar but Romelu Lukaku inadvertently blocked a rebounded header to deny the Italian club a well deserved goal.
The striker had a chance one final time but dragged his shot wide late on when he would have been better off passing in front of goal.
