Creator Sally said she was excited to bring her favourite time of year into her beloved series.
She told Express.co.uk and other press: “I think Christmas telly is like a gift to the nation, I think it’s that present isn’t it?
“Creating my own Christmas special was just so exciting because it’s all the factors I like in Christmas.
“There are Christmas trees, there are decorations, there’s a huge murder mystery plot in there as well.
“But there’s a lot of Christmas emotion, there’s a choir, there are presents, it’s all there.”
