Married At First Sight star Stacey Hampton has shared another tribute to the late father of her two sons, bikie boss Shane Smith.
The father-of-five was killed in a motorcycle crash in northeast Adelaide a week ago.
The pair met at 19 and dated for five years, sharing two children – Kosta, 7 and Kruz, 5, and split in July 2017.
The MAFS star shared a heartfelt message to her Instagram story on Tuesday thanking her followers for their words of support since the news broke.
“I appreciate every single one of you,” Ms Hampton said.
She said her focus is on carrying her two sons through the loss of their father at such a young age.
“Unfortunately, with life, it goes on. The boys need to try and live a normal life, considering, and I’m trying my hardest to make sure they smile,” she said.
“It’s waking up every day knowing they are hurting, that hurts the most”
“It doesn’t matter what anyone says, a child who is seven and five should never lose a father”
“We are doing our best to live normal lives”
“It’s not about me or anyone else. It’s about those innocent children. Always has and always will be”
“Is it hard? Absolutely. My heart breaks for them.”
The mother-of-two has been vocal since the news of her ex-partner’s death, telling fans he was an “amazing father”.
“He is now at peace with his brother, mother and friends,” she told Nine News last week.
“He was an amazing father. He adored his children and his parents”
“He had a heart of gold and adored his family and friends.”
The former Adelaide president of the Rebel’s bikie gang also shared two children with his current partner Donna Baldino.
Mr Smith was a “loving” step-parent to Ms Baldino’s first child Ivy as well as their newborn son Roc who is just 14 weeks old.
“A beautiful, loving, supportive partner and loving father to five beautiful children (including his stepdaughter Ivy),” she told the Advertiser.
Shane Smith’s death is not the first tragic death in Ms Hampton‘s life – having lost her brother to another motorcycle crash and her father to suicide.
