Collingwood will await news on the severity of a knee injury to Steele Sidebottom which forced the veteran winger to be substituted less than a quarter into his 300th AFL game.
The Magpies were celebrating Sidebottom’s 300th game and Mason Cox’s 100th against North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.
But less than 10 minutes into the game, the occasion was soured when Sidebottom tackled Cameron Zurhaar and started feeling for his inner right knee, clearly in some discomfort.
He headed to the bench soon afterwards, then went straight down the race for assessment.
Later in the quarter, Sidebottom was officially substituted out of the game and replaced by Will Hoskin-Elliott.
He was later shown on the bench with ice on his right knee.
Sidebottom, 32, is just the fourth Collingwood player to reach the 300-game mark.
Rejuvenated under Craig McRae last year, he had averaged 22.7 disposals on the wing this season before the Kangaroos game.
