Heritage brand maharishi has just launched its Pre-Spring 2023 collection, drawing inspiration from a journey from Vietnam to the Himalayas and the Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand that were encountered by the maharishi team along the way.
Renowned for its expertly-crafted releases which combine streetwear with military influences, the new line features a range of breathable silhouettes which reflect the crew’s voyage along with detailed textures and golden dragons, tigers, and Thai clouds artwork styles.
Elsewhere, seasonal garment-dyed iterations of kimonos and maharishi’s Original Snopants are reimagined from the brand’s core hemp trousers in “Rust” and silver colourways. Alongside these classic pieces, the collection also features both outerwear and organic cotton designs with carefully considered pocket arrangements for day-to-day travel.
Standouts arrive in the form of shirting and transitional outerwear—including a naturally waterproof cotton/hemp Ventile® woven in Switzerland, jersey and Cordura®’s NYCO® nylon cotton blend—while key prints include the return of DPM: Bonsai Forest, depicting trees growing from heavenly clouds and a water pattern, seen in a Pointillist iteration.
