London-based imprint Maharishi has recently unveiled a slew of technical and performance pieces from its Fall/Winter 2021 collection. The new editorial, shot in the ancient valleys of the Mendip Hills, reinforces the label’s “respect nature, utilise technology” ethos, through a range of technical fabrics and references to the natural world.
A key fabric from the capsule is the vegetable-dyed micro-ripstop nylon, produced by Japanese heritage mill Komatsu. Made from waste yarn, the lightweight textile offers water-resistant and quick-drying capabilities while still remaining lightweight and breathable. Elsewhere, the brand introduces technical sherpa fleece garments made from post-consumer recycled materials and insulated quilting courtesy of a synthetic fill.
