A MAJOR airline is launching exciting new flights from Scotland.
Jet2 has announced will operate the seasonal flights every Wednesday from Glasgow.
And it’s an ideal trip for fans of Italy, with the airline jetting into Verona.
The airline’s summer programme adds five new destinations from Glasgow Airport. It will fly to Izmir, Ibiza, Reus, Bodrum and Rhodes.
But passengers will need to be patient, as the flights don’t start until next summer.
The company added seven destination to its Edinburgh itinerary for next summer including Dubrovnik, Ibiza, Reus, Palma, Rhodes, Naples and Gran Canaria.
A spokesman for Glasgow Airport, said: “The introduction of this additional service to the beautiful city of Verona will be welcome news for those passengers keen to explore Northern Italy next summer.”
It follows the airline introducing its popular twilight check-in service at Glasgow Airport.
The holiday provider expanded its service to Glasgow Airport (Terminal 2), following the success at its other bases.
It will be the only operator to have the service on offer to customers at Glasgow Airport.
The service will start from August 1.
Ryanair also announced plans earlier in the year that it would be flying out from Glasgow to Pisa.
The flights were re-introduced into this year’s summer schedule.
