Mamelodi Sundowns latest: Jali’s future remains up in the air

Andile Jali‘s future with Mamelodi Sundowns remains up in the air as he still hasn’t returned to Chloorkop despite having a running contract.

Jali’s contract with Sundowns comes to an end in June, and there are already reports that he could already be weighing up his options.

Media reports previously claimed that Jali had returned to Chloorkop, this was refuted by his agent, Mike Makaab at the time.

Now, Makaab has provided an update to Soccer Laduma who asked if Jali would return to Sundowns before the end of the season to celebrate their league triumph with them.

And Makaab’s was short and sweet, saying Jali hasn’t returned to Sundowns and that he honestly doesn’t know if he would go back before the season ends.

“No [he hasn’t returned to Chloorkop]. Honestly, I’m not sure [if he will return to Chloorkop before the end of the season],” said Makaab.

THE THREE TEAMS SUNDOWNS COULD FACE IN CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUARTER-FINALS

The three teams that Sundowns can be drawn against are JS Kabylie of Algeria from Group A, Tanzanian giants Simba SC from Group C or Algerian giants CR Belouizdad from Group D.

So, what this means is that Sundowns should brace themselves for a trip either to Tanzania to Algeria in the quarter-finals.

The CAF Champions League draw for the quarter-finals will take place on Wednesday, 5 April in Cairo, Egypt at 20:30 SA time.
